  Admiration Theatre "Grotowski Training"

The Theatre Laboratorium’s Plastiques and Corporals as described in “Towards A Poor Theatre”.

Reconstructing a Practice lead by John Seaforth

These are physical exercises developed by Grotowski and his Laboratory Theatre in the 1960’s drawing from Hatha Yoga, acrobatics, mime, and biomechanics, in a theatrical context and used to develop the actor’s creative imagination of associations and the courage that comes of physical development.

Every Wednesday - 10am to 6pm
Starting 2 September

The purpose is to reconstruct the original exercises,
working in a committed group of actors,
developing the work on a regular basis

Please obtain a copy of “Towards A Poor Theatre”
if you do not already have one.

There are a few places left.
Participants will be paid travel expenses (from second rehearsal).
It is necessary to attend each week.

Application is by email and CV to physical@admirationtheatre.com
