
Libraries
Each library has a wide range of books and music in English, Bengali and other local community languages. There is also a selection of daily and weekly newspapers, and newspapers and journals in local community languages. All libraries provide free access to PC's including the internet, word processing and spreadsheet facilities. Photocopying and faxing service also offered.
Those who have difficulty reaching their local library can also access the services of the outreach service. All libraries can be contacted on the minicom numbers (see below) for people who are hearing impaired. Large print books, talking books and audio cassettes are stocked for people who are visually impaired. Subtitled and British sign language videos are also available for deaf and hearing impaired people. Information leaflets are available in large print, on cassette or video and in braille.
