Field Day in Victoria Park : Residents Update
Field Day at Victoria Park suffered from very bad weather conditions during the weekend of Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June. This extended into prolonged bad weather throughout the week.
The council is working closely with the organisers of Field Day to minimise the use of heavy vehicles to avoid further ground damage to Victoria Park.
If the outer fenceline is taken down then additional heavy trucks are required and this will further damage the ground. If the fenceline remains then we can really reduce the damage to the ground, which is our absolute priority.
Therefore we are informing Park users at Victoria Park that the fenceline will remain between now and until the Lovebox event. The fence line will be removed by Friday 22 July.
We recognise the inconvenience this will cause to the park users and apologise. All pathways will be cleaned and reopened for public access from 7am on Tuesday 21 June and the areas within the fenceline will be available for use by park users.

Event set-up and site arrangements
The event set-up will commence from 4th July and end by the 22nd July.
The majority of the work will be carried out during the hours of 8am – 8pm, anything outside these hours will be only with agreement from LBTH.
Prior to the hand-back of the park following the de-rig we will ensure that the park will be returned to the council cleaned to the best possible standard.
We will be providing temporary toilets in key locations along the exit routes for the audience leaving the park each night. The toilets will be at locations agreed with LBTH and will be collected each night. The event itself will be provided with adequate toilet facilities for the number of people that are likely to attend.
We will endeavour to complete all soundchecks on Thursday 14th July by 5 pm, however if the setup is delayed we may continue with agreement of the LBTH, but this will be no later than 7pm. Further tests will take place only on the morning of each event day between 10am – 12 noon.
Throughout the event noise will be controlled to limits agreed with LBTH. A team of noise consultants will monitor levels on both the Hackney and Tower Hamlets side of the park.
Event times are Midday till 11pm Friday 15h July, Midday till 11pm Saturday 16th July and Midday till 10 30pm Sunday 17th July 2016.
If you have any concerns about the levels of noise generated during the event you can call the Lovebox residents line 0203 355 0815. This will be operational from 4th July.
Alternatively you can call the LBTH Environmental Protection team (the responsible authority for noise at the event) direct on 020 7364 5008 (Mon – Fri, 9am - 5pm) or 020 7364 5007 (Out of hours)
