Winterville is a FREE to enter Christmas destination that offers a range of attractions for all ages including ice-skating, a Circus, rides, food stalls and an indoor cinema.

Tower Hamlets and E9 residents are eligible for discounts on some of the ticketed attractions. More information can be found at the Winterville website here http://winterville.co.uk/event-info/local-residents/ or by downloading the attached document
The event will be located in Victoria Park east, on the ‘Lido Field’, which is the area of the park that runs along Grove Road.
Preparations for the event begin on Wednesday 11th November and the dismantling of the event will be completed by Wednesday 6th January. Work will generally take place between 8am and 8pm, with any late or overnight working taking place at council approved times only. There will be no working on Christmas or Boxing Day. Prior to handing the park back to the council, the organisers of Winterville will ensure that all remaining public spaces are clear and returned to the best possible standard. The event will be open to the public from Thursday 26th November to Wednesday 23rd December. Please refer to the event website for opening times.
The organisers are required to make sure that the noise from the event is controlled to limits agreed with the local authority. During event days noise will be monitored to ensure that it keeps within the agreed limits. If you have concerns about noise levels directly generated during the period of the event, you can contact the Resident’s Hotline on the number at the bottom this letter.
TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT
Whilst the event is open, roads and transport hubs may be busier than usual, especially at weekends. There will be no road closures or traffic orders in place.
IMPACT OF THE EVENT
The organisers and the Local Authority Event Planning Group, which includes representatives from London Borough of Tower Hamlets Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing, and the Police, work together to ensure that the impact of the event on local residents is minimised. During the event these teams are in regular contact to ensure that issues raised by residents are responded to quickly and effectively. If you are concerned about any aspect of the event, please contact the Resident’s Hotline, which will pass any issues raised to both organisers and the local authority, who will ensure that they are dealt with swiftly.
