Environment and how we work with it or treat it is very important to my installation based pieces. I come from a painting background however the two dimensional is not what concerns me so much as the way we interact with our surroundings. A lack of work or limited effect on our surroundings ultimately leads to mental illness and I view this as a worrying truth to our everyday existence. My work comes from the basic need to interact with my surroundings.
