House Mill & Miller's House

Address Three Mill Lane, E3 3DU
Tel 020 8980 4626
Email info@housemill.org.uk
Web www.housemill.org.uk

The House Mill was built in 1776, with much of the internal machinery, including vast waterwheels and six pairs of millstones, still surviving. The River Lea Tidal Mill Trust has recently restored the Mill, whose stones finally ground to a halt during the Blitz. Guided tours allow you to experience this highly atmospheric building.

We offer guided tours of the House Mill, as visitors are unable to visit the building unescorted. The cost is £4.00 and the tour lasts about 45 minutes. Start times may vary since the tours are “on demand”. Children are free of charge, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The House Mill is open every Sunday from May to October from 11am – 4pm and on the first Sundays in March, April and December, the last tour is at 3.15 pm.

Tours for specialist groups can be arranged at other times, with a minimum of eight people.

The venue is available for hire for a variety of purposes.

Disabled access.
